The Talk For Me app provides a fully customisable yet easy to use grid to point to communicate, with text-to-speech output and image-recognition suggested text, which can always edited.

Start by adding an item by clicking on the plus icon, select "add item" from the menu, then select an image

If the image recognition comes up with a suggestion, and you're happy with the suggestion, you're all set, and can select items, then tap the mike icon at bottom to generate a sentence and then speak it using the speaker icon.

To change item text, if the image recognition doesn't work or you're unhappy with the suggestion, you can edit the text by tapping on it

To rearrange the items, press and drag and drop to swap the position of two items

To delete an item, press and hold until the delete button appears, then press delete.

To add a category, click on the plus symbol, select "category" from the menu, and tap on the text to edit the category name

To add items to the category, drag and drop items on top of the category

To edit / delete the categories press and hold on the category in the category bar

In the category view, press and hold to bring up the context menu to remove items from the category / delete altogether.
