ThinkAlike is a minimalist word association multiplayer game where the goal is simple: See a word, submit an answer, match your friends. The rarer the match, the more it's worth.

TWO WAYS TO PLAY

Connection — A word appears with a blank before or after it. Fill in the blank to form a compound word, common phrase, or natural pairing. "_____ CAKE" → CUP. "TOUGH _____" → LOVE.

Association — A word appears on its own. Type the first thing that comes to mind. "OCEAN" → WAVE. Simple as that.

THREE WAYS TO START

Host — Start a local multiplayer game and share a 5-letter code with friends nearby. You control the pace — when rounds advance, when the game ends.

Join — Enter a friend's game code and jump right in. If you get disconnected, rejoin with the same code and pick up where you left off.

The Deck — Flip through words in the deck to get you thinking, or use the deck to play with a group of friends where you want to keep answers and scoring on paper.

SCORING THAT REWARDS RARE CONNECTIONS

Matching answers earn points, but rarer matches are worth more:

• Match with 1 other player → 3 points
• Match with 2 others → 2 points
• Match with 3 or more → 1 point

The obvious answer might get you a match, but a less common answer could earn you more. Read the room, know your opponents, and think strategically.

TIEBREAKERS

When a game ends in a tie, settle it with a tiebreaker minigame:

• Targets shrink and speed up over time. One miss and you're out. Ties in a tiebreaker try again. Last player standing wins.

FLEXIBLE GAME SETTINGS

End games your way — play unlimited rounds, set a target score (3–100), or choose a round limit (1–50). Adjust word length filters, toggle sound effects, allow or strip spaces in answers, and set your preferred game mode as the default.

EXPANDED PLAYERS

Games support up to 4 players by default. Unlock Expanded Players to host games with up to 8 — perfect for larger groups over WiFi.
